Mini-Documentary of Ghanaian Elementary and JHS School based in Accra (Out now on YouTube)

In the heart of Ghana lies a school (Greatway Memorial Complex School) that once shone brightly as a beacon of hope for children seeking a better future. Founded by a mother, this school was more than just a place of learning—it was a sanctuary, a refuge where dreams took flight and possibilities seemed endless.

But time, relentless and unforgiving, has taken its toll. The previous owner's health has deteriorated and the school she poured her heart and soul into has fallen into disrepair. It breaks hearts to witness the decline of a place that meant so much to a mother and to the countless children whose lives she touched. But amidst the decay, there remains a glimmer of hope—a belief that we can breathe new life into this cherished institution.

Your contribution will aid in refurbishing the school in Accra , including replacing the roof and floor, acquiring new furniture, and granting underprivileged children the invaluable opportunity to access an education that has the power to shape their futures. Moreover, your support will enable the restocking of essential supplies and establish a secure, nurturing environment where children can thrive and grow. Every dollar you donate will directly impact the lives of these children, furnishing them with the necessary tools, resources, and opportunities essential for their success.

Together, let's restore hope. Let's rebuild this school in Accra and ensure that it continues to serve as a beacon of light in the lives of these children. Your generosity can make a world of difference.

[00:00:04] Good day everyone, my name is Ezra Emano, I'm an old student of Great Way Memorial School Complex and it's a privilege to be speaking to you, my audience.

[00:00:19] Then, when I was in the school some years back, the school was a very good one. The facilities, we had a lot of facilities, talking of the library, the laboratory, the school, the computer lab, talking of the canteen, talking of school buses.

[00:00:47] We had so many school buses. And then coming back to Rendaia service, back to the school was also a privilege. But getting here, I realized that there are so many facilities the school is lacking.

[00:01:03] So, the library will normally go in to read one or two books. It's quite fancy. There are barely no books in the library which I am expecting. The NGOs, I'm pleading on behalf of the NGOs.

[00:01:24] Those who can be of help to help us with books in order to fill the library. Then talking of the school computer lab, most of the computer in the school and the computer lab are not really working.

[00:01:38] So, we plead on behalf of those who are willing to support, to help us with more computers. We also plead on behalf of the helpers to provide us with school buses. For now, the school doesn't have any buses at all.

[00:01:54] So, we need more buses for the students. And the population, the people in the school, the population has decreased drastically. So, I believe it's because of these facilities that we are lacking that made most parents take their words out of the school.

[00:02:16] So, when all these things are being provided, I believe the students will come into the school. And this will help the growing of the school. Thank you. Good afternoon. Please, I'm Falida Freeman Freku, the P4 and the P5 teacher.

[00:02:37] I have known Greatsway for almost a year now. And I might say Greatsway is a nice school. And the kids too, they are easy to go with. So far, so good. There are some needs that the school, I think, might be. There are some things we need in the school that I think when we get, it will help and then improve the teaching and the learning of the school.

[00:03:05] Some of the things are students' desks, teachers' tables,
